WHO IS OSCAR & FRANK?
Established in 2014, Oscar & Frank emerged from a desire to provide designer eyewear at a fair price point. Before their launch, the market was dominated by a few companies, often forcing consumers to choose between stylish design and premium craftsmanship. Founders Emma Stephens and Mitch Burgess travelled extensively across Italy, France, Hong Kong, and Japan to source the finest materials and manufacturers for their debut collection. Their dedication led them to collaborate with artisans who had spent decades perfecting elements of production, such as metalwork and hand-mixing acetate, ensuring that no two Oscar & Frank acetate frames are identical.
WHY WE LOVE THEM
Oscar & Frank's commitment to quality and individuality is evident in their meticulous design process. Each pair of glasses is designed in-house and by hand at their Sydney studio, drawing inspiration from the vibrant surroundings of Sydney and Canggu, Bali. Their frames are handcrafted exclusively by leading manufacturers of luxury eyewear in small, family-owned, ethically managed factories. This meticulous process takes over 90 days and requires more than 50 steps from start to finish, resulting in eyewear that is both stylish and durable.
FUN FACT
Oscar & Frank’s name is inspired by the founders’ rescue dogs, Oscar and Frank, who often roam the design studio, keeping the creative team company. Their love for dogs doesn’t stop there—the brand also supports local animal shelters, ensuring a bit of love goes to furry friends with every pair sold.
